Swaps....

HUGE DISCLAIMER:  I am in a sour mood.  So, if you remotely have a decent opinion of me, don't read this!!

I am trying to remember exactly what swaps I participated in lately. I have kind of lost faith in Swap-bot. (Details to follow) But, through them I did a handbag swap, an apron swap, a book and a beverage swap, and a hot pad swap. Here are the photos of what I sent for those....

And here is what I received:

NO bag.....

an apron that my swap partner didn't make and forwarded me hers that she received. I'm not sure what exactly happened here many different excuses. Cute apron though, but it was made for some one else, and for some reason that bothers me a little. Don't judge me too harshly!

Kay, so I don't mean to be ornery....but here I will be. When you join a swap, do you not try to do something that your partner likes? I thought this is why they have you fill out those questionnaires. It isn't that I didn't like my apron. I think it is darling. But it really isn't me because I stated on my profile for this swap that I didn't really LOVE pink. That I was more a red and white valentines girl. Hot pink was okay....black even.....but not pale pink. So, what color is my apron? Mostly pale pink. Oh well. Then, not only that, but it was supposed to be sent out by Jan 15. When did I receive mine? Yeah on Thursday.....four days ago. Obviously I think I am giving swap-bot a boot. My bag was supposedly sent out on Jan 15. Still not here. I have contacted the lady NUMEROUS times. To which I just get: "I sent it." No tracking number.....no proof whatsoever.  Obviously some one just got a free bag for doing nothing! No accountability on swap-bot.

Okay, enough belly-aching. On to some better things! I have also done a couple of other swaps. I did Holly's Amy Butler apron swap (the pink apron ironically it was for my sister Andie who doesn't like GREEN, which made it a little hard choosing Amy Butler fabric), Lucy and Shawnee's Flirty Sassy Apron Swap (the lips one that is a little sexy), Belle's Valentine's Day Swap (the red one with ric rac along with a cookbook), Aunt Pitty Pat's Apron Swap (the black lips one with the red pocket and ruffles on the bottom) and Kris' Show Some Sewing Love Swap (photo to come...it hasn't been delivered, but it is cute!). Now, what have I received? Obviously Kim's darling apron, which I LOVE!!! and a darling package from Kristen, which I need to blog about!) I haven't received the Amy Butler, Lucy and Shawnee's or the show some sewing love. However, the deadline was just this past Friday, so I HOPE things go well. If not, well this just might be the end of my swapping days :( Did you hear John cheer?

But not right now. I still have my bag swap to send, an Amy Butler Weekender bag swap, a green apron swap and one other handbag swap. Hope no one flakes on these. But, I don't worry about the ladies in my bag swap. They are AWESOME!!!
